Controls Background

Established in 1998, Soenen Controls is a company that stems from the automation section of the parent company Romain Soenen Werkhuizen NV, active in the metal sector and manufacturer of tailor-made machines.

Through years of experience and gathered know-how in the world of automation, Soenen Controls has grown into a company that is capable of offering its expertise to many industrial market sectors.

Soenen Controls is active in the design and production of custom-made electronics and the automation of installations, by means of hardware and software of its own design or by the use of standard equipment.

MODAC

The MODAC has been developed by Soenen to obtain a suitable universal hardware control to automate all of their machines. No other control on the market can satisfy the rigorous demands of Soenen.

The MODAC is a design based on the Motorola 68K processors and the Microware OS9 multi-tasking operating system.

The MODAC consists of three independent running modules which are the MASTER, the PLC, and the MOTION. These three modules communicate through the triple-ported RAM. Due to the use of "in system" programmable devices, the MODAC configures itself by means of software.
