Our company is licensed to produce the Salyp Dorado recycling machines. Salyp Dorado is a conveyor-belt-driven machine with multiple picking modules consisting of several infrared lamps, a grooved roller, and a small conveyor belt to extract plastic chips by type from a flow of mixed plastic chips.
The Dorado technology is based on the thermal mechanical characters of the plastics. The purpose is to soften the plastics by adding infrared heat without reaching the melting point. Because each plastic type has its own characteristic influence on IR absorption, it is possible to extract plastics by type from a mixed flow.
The machine is a real breakthrough in the treatment of complex waste flows, because it allows the sorting of plastics by type. This makes the plastics a valuable resource for recompounders, who reprocess them into usable materials at a cost savings when compared to using virgin plastics.
