Everything is
arranged for fast retooling. The die area is highly accessible.
No need to be an acrobat to get at the tools.
The upper transfer
grippers swing up out of the way at the push of a button, and the
punch sensor can be swung down pneumatically.

TRANSFER UNIT CAN BE SWUNG UP TO PROVIDE EASY ACCESS TO THE DIES.

Less
than 2 hour changeover |
|
With a little
practice the machine can be changed over completely in less than
two hours -- including adjustments and trials. Assuming, of course,
that the new tools are assembled ahead of time, ready for installation.

Holder |

The Hotmatic's
tool holder system is really practical: Just unscrew the top part
-- the clamp cap -- and hoist out the punch or die pack.

Quadruple
Bail |
|
Use the quadruple
bail to remove all four dies or all four punches at the same time.
And if you want to change just one or two worn packs, use the single
or double bail.

Changeover |
|
Changeover is
fastest if you work with the optional quick-change aids: rigging
bails that let you take out and put in the tool packs together with
the clamp caps, one at a time or several packs together.

THIS RIGGING BAIL, YOU CAN REMOVE OR INSTALL ALL FOUR DIE OR PUNCH
PACKS WITH THEIR CLAMP CAPS AT ONCE.
