Combination
Forgings:
Two different
parts made as one forging, and usually separated at the last station.
But they can also be separated at the third station, with one part
dropping out and the other moving on to the last station for further
forming.
Medium-size
precision forgings, with no flash, no draft:
Handles parts up to 1.1 kg (2.43 lb) cut-off weight and 85 mm (3.35
in) diameter. They can be up to 85 mm (3.35 in) long.
Even complex
shapes -- top-heavy parts, for instance -- are run without tooling
gimmicks. Because the individually timed grippers keep even the
most complicated parts firmly in hand. And because four forming
stations are able to move lots of metal.
Up to 150
parts a minute
In fully automated production, from bar stock to finished forgings
in a single pass, 150 parts a minute. And you need only one person
at the controls.
