Through Glama’s vast experience in the forging industry we have now have the ability to automate the transportation and movement of large rolled rings. By utilizing an overhead crane, Glama can attach a ring tong unit for gripping on rolled rings of various sizes. It is possible to grip on the ring OD, ID, and/or wall based on the tools installed on the ring tong. With the addition of a modern control system this entire process can be automated with little to no operator interaction.
